Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt lit up the 82nd Venice Worldwide Movie Pageant as they promoted their new movie, The Smashing Machine. The pair attended a photocall and crimson carpet premiere Monday in Venice, Italy, joined by the real-life topic of the film, former UFC fighter Mark Kerr.
The Smashing Machine: A Highly effective Biopic
Johnson, 53, stars as Kerr, whose MMA profession was marked by each triumph and battles with dependancy. Emily Blunt, 42, performs Kerr’s then-wife Daybreak Staples, bringing depth to the private facet of the story. Directed and produced by Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems), the movie dives into the uncooked, emotional highs and lows of Kerr’s life.
Launch Date
The Smashing Machine opens in theaters October 3. With Johnson’s highly effective efficiency, Blunt’s nuanced function, and Safdie’s unflinching course, the movie is already constructing awards-season buzz.
